NetEnt seeks for inspiration in Nintendo games

Swedish developers announce a sequel of the famous Staxx series. This is going to be the third Staxx slot with cubic symbols. This time the design and sound effects have been changed radically. What’s more, NetEnt decided to use HTML5 technology for its release.

The atmosphere of the title reminds strongly of Nintendo games for NES and SuperNES consoles. Due to the unusual design of symbols, the sequel is called Strolling Staxx: Cubic Fruits

Review

NetEnt is hoping to attract gambling enthusiasts not only with unusual design but also with various bonus features. The release is first and foremost targeted at casual players who are already familiar with Neon Staxx and Butterfly Staxx.

The new title has a classic 5x3 layout just like its predecessors. However, the number of pay lines is different (10).

Remember, this is a fruity video slot; thus, the collection of symbols consists of cubic icons of cherries, lemons, plums, watermelons, and other fruit. There’re no Scatters in the gameplay. Wilds perform their conventional functions. Symbols can occupy clusters (2x3 or 3x3) and trigger re-spins.

Since there’re no Scatters, no free spins can be triggered. However, you can benefit from re-spins and ExtraChance feature.

The bonus feature can be activated in the BonusBet mode for high-rollers. The maximum win during re-spins can reach x5000 times your bet in the base game. This is because gamblers get higher chances for winning combos.

This is a great title for those who enjoy playing for real money. If you already feel interested, you can see our list of the proven Australian dollar casinos and make safe deposits.

Other projects

Cubic Fruits is the second title released by NetEnt this year. A month before the Staxx sequel the team introduced 'Turn Your Fortune' slot. But this is just a beginning. The studio is planning to release 35 games in 2019.

Another upcoming slot by Swedish developers is 'Scudamore’s SuperStakes'. This potential blockbuster is dedicated to horse races. NetEnt managed to get Peter Scudamore involved in the development. Peter is a famous jokey, so he can give an expert appraisal of the gameplay and the design. Judging by the attention to detail, NetEnt is working on a masterpiece of video slots. Or at least on a very decent and noteworthy title.

So you can start monitoring online casinos to find no deposit bonuses for the upcoming projects.
